Judges Code of Ethics

 
1. All judges must, above all, agree to by all to abide by the constitution and the current rules and procedures of the IBTA.
2. All judges shall make every effort to encourage and maintain good sportsmanship amongst themselves, and shall conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike and respectable manner at all times.
3. Judges shall not make any false claims against the IBTA.
4. All Judges shall use discretion when commenting directly or indirectly to other Judges.
5. All judges shall, to the best of their ability, keep themselves informed of all IBTA competitions, seminars, rule changes and functions.
6. Judges should make a personal commitment to attend at least one judges training seminar per year.
7. A judge’s conduct towards another judge must be characterised by courtesy, good faith and respect.
8. All judges shall take a positive approach to their judging, enabling constructive advice to show on score sheets and in comments.
9. All Judges shall remain impartial throughout the judging process.
10. All Judges shall ensure that they present themselves in an appropriate manner at all competitions by wearing the IBTA judges uniform:
FEMALE: Navy Blue or Black tailored jacket.
Navy Blue of Black skirt or tailored trouser.
White or Cream shirt, blouse or top.
Navy Blue, Black or White shoes.
MALE: Navy Blue or Black tailored jacket or blazor.
Navy Blue or Black tailored trousers.
White Shirt.
Green, Navy or Black tie.
Black or Navy shoes.
