I am a qualified IBTA teacher, and the IBTA Teachers Representative.

Home: Gosport, Hampshire

I qualified to Judge with the IBTA in 1996 and have since taken further examinations to broaden my scope and knowledge of Baton Twirling.

I started teaching 15 years ago and am fully qualified with both the IBTA and the BBTSA.

I am always keen to listen to advice and the experience of other judges and teachers as I feel we can all learn from each others’ expertise.

I am very open-minded regarding the sport of Baton Twirling and am happy to teach & be taught at seminars, within a Corps and to Judges at Open competitions.

Sarah Collins

Home: Waterlooville, Hampshire

I have been twirling since 1986 when it all started when my sister dragged me along to a training session at Havant Diamonettes, and I haven’t stopped twirling since! A few years after joining Havant Diamonettes, I moved corps to join South Coast Spinners. It was there that I steadily progressed to teaching with the help of my fellow teacher Jo. I have now been teaching within the IBTA for 15 years or so!!

During this time, I have taught Aquarius whom achieved most progressive corps back in 2002 before teaching Talisman Twirlstars, whom I co run with a friend. Due to family commitments, I called it a day and am now happily teaching along side Emma & Hayley at Dynamic Twirlers where I hopes to continue until I am ancient enough to retire!

I am currently getting ready for my judges exams and have judged several medal exams up to silver level for corps within the IBTA. I am also happy to help guest teach where needed and get my satisfaction from watching the twirlers grow in confidence within the IBTA.

Kate Jenner

Home: Paignton

I started out as a member of Paignton Sapphires and 6 years ago, my own teacher encouraged me to pursue my teaching interests. I started helping teach the Paignton Sapphires before successfully passing the IBTA teachers Exams and becoming their full time coach. I have also guest taught for other teams and athletes.

I am happy to teach any aspect of baton as I enjoy doing and teaching it all, as well as still learning from others to gain more experience and knowledge to pass on to the athletes.

Sally Lidbury

Home: Croydon, Surrey

I started teaching for the IBTA in 1993, as 1 of 3 teachers within the team I twirled for, the Phoenix Twirlstars. At Phoenix I choreographed both team and solo routines, before going independent in 1996, where I continued to teach individuals only.

I have guest taught for a number of different teams and enjoy working with new teams / individuals. I am available to guest teach upon request.

Karen McGeough

Home: Dublin

I took my first teachers exam in 1996 and have been teaching Ballyfermot Superjettes since 1999.
I enjoy all areas of teaching baton twirling. I especially like teaching beginner twirlers and watching them progress at every training class.

I attend as many seminars as I can and I am always willing to learn from the more experienced teachers to increase my knowledge and teaching skills.

Over the past couple of years I have helped out with the teaching for some of the newer groups and am always available to assist wherever I can.

Elaine
Mc Govern

Home: Dublin

I am a qualified IBTA teacher with over 15 years teaching experience. I started teaching Rainbow Twirlers, but when the club closed I taught the Kilnamanagh Twirlers for 4 years. In May 2006, I set up Diamond Twirlers, a corps formed of some experienced baton twirlers, who I am now working hard with to get ready for their first competition in October 2006.

I am keen to pass my knowledge onto others, and enjoy assisting other teachers and individuals, as well as teaching at seminars. I have guest taught for other corps and individuals in Ireland and am available to guest teach teams and individuals upon request.

Helen McLauchlan

Home: Yateley, Hampshire

I have been twirling since 1977, firstly as a member of Fleet Majorettes,
and as a Fleet Falcon from 1979 when they were first established. We joined
the IBTA in 1981, and I began teaching within the association in 1984. I have since taught a number of corps and individuals, taught at seminars, examined students and have taken all my teaching exams, becoming fully
qualified in 1995.

I have continued to teach Fleet Falcons with the assistance of Emily-Jayne
Wilde and Sam, Barker and also teach Spencerettes, along with Kelly Dacombe, and other individuals within the association.

I enjoy teaching all aspects of twirling, whether it be individuals, duets, teams or corps, but still like to go along to seminars to learn!

Maria Pollard

Home: North Tipperary, Ireland

Living in North Tipperary in Ireland, I have been involved in baton twirling for over 26 years joining IBTA in 1988. I became a fully qualified IBTA Teacher in 1995, the only Irish teacher to dare to complete the IBTA Teacher Diploma. I have taught Corps in Dublin, Louth, Northern Ireland and various Corps in the UK. Presently I guest teach in Corps when invited. I do not teach on a full time basis, because of where I am living, however I am always available to guest teach and willing to pass on my knowledge and experiences to other teachers or those who would like to begin teaching.
